Quiet on the set. Action!

Living in Qingdao is very interesting for many reasons. It may not have the most history of any city, but it definetly has alot of oppertunity in bussiness. Recently a production/movie company has come to Qingdao to film a movie about the British take over of Hong Kong. Well why not film it in Hong Kong. Well manly becuase Qingdao is so beautiful and also becuase it is much cheaper to film here. Kindof like the movies being shot in Regina. Well becuase its about the British they obvioulsy need some foriegn actors. I had done a previous role in a Chinese drama so I kindof know the acting agent in town. And it just so happens he was put in charge of recruting people for some fairly big parts in this movie. With a little help from my friend Steve and a meeting with the movie assistants and a few pictures I recieved a call back and was given the part of William. To my surprise I have actually have speaking parts.

A couple days pass , at an open mic jam at a bar, Bev is approached by the movie people and is asked to be the Gouveners wife. Well of course she accepted the job. Later we found out they had already filled the position and cut some girl becuase Bev better suited the character so yay for Bev haha.

Bev and I went for her first day of shooting when they asked me just to be an extra in the backround. Some security guard. Obviously they don't care about conflict of characters. I got all in my wardrobe and mom got all in hers and her makeup done and we started shooting. Take after take after take, we finished and were allowed to go home. Shooting will proceed through out this whole month. Becuase we are leaving on a trip soon (Bev and I) we are going to be really busy. They are only shooting till the 28th of november and Bev has many scenes she is in.
I'll be sure to update you guys on our trip to Shanghai and Guilin as soon as we're back and also on how the filming is going!
