One of the best Beaches to go to in Qingdao/LaoShan District
I have waited and waited and waited for the day when I could finally tell Bev that she had to do the dishes and clean her room and so on and so on as she did to me through the many years of Childhood. Sadly my first attempt was a failure. So I have given up. haha

But Bev has arrived safely and has been having a great time. We have been walking her into the ground showing her every cool spot in Qingdao. By the end of the day of sight seeing and teaching I'm dead tired. But each day is a new day and we have to keep on moving.

We were able to make it to one of the near by mountains in kindof a suburb of Qingdao. Its in the LoaShan District hence the mountains name is LaoShan. It was a great day from hiking up the mountain and then hiking down the other side. Due to the fact we didn't want to take the "touristy" routes we were lost ... kindof. We knew where we were but there were no cabs available. Which ment for the three of us ( Alex, Bev, and I)

Bev's first day in our home and already searching for the coffee.
we had no way of getting back to the bus station/ home. Well after walking through 3 different little towns we stopped a tourist bus and they allowed us to catch a ride back to Qingdao. Now all in all we were good either or becuase we had money and we ad food and we had alot of sunlight time ahead of us. But if we had to back track walking style another 3 hours I was going to die. And also becuase we needed to get back before Brittany died.

A weird flu has been going around. So far a couple co-workers, Veronica (Alex's GF) Brittany and bev have gotten the flu. It makes you throw up a couple times for the first day. Then you get a nasty headache the second day. And the third day you just get cramps. I haven't gotten it yet hooray.. But i'm knockin on wood still. So in order to cheer Britt up, I decided to surprise her with a kitten. She has been wanting one for a long time and due to the fact that its hard to travel and we are evetually going to have to leave it, I

didn't want to get one. But I figuer if we're guna travel I can just shluff it off onto Alex or one of our friends. Problem solved. As we search for a kitten on the pet street which happens to be right by the seafood market making it one of the grossest streets we finally cam across a healthy kitten. So a few minuetes of bargining and I had purchased a kitten. Anybody want to guess how this store expects you to carry the cat home in........................ a plastic bag. Yes thats right a plastic bag. I just about died laughing. Of course I didn't shoot for it so after a 5 minute charades game he got me a cardboard box. We got the cat home safe. I surprised Britt. Cat was given the name "Emma" by Brittany. And its still living and very playful.

If you look close I'm the one with my arms up and Alex is on the side. A little too high for him to come in the middle.
