We are in the final week of countdown for our big trip. It's all very stressful but I know it will be better once we are on the plane.



Here's our itinerary

25 August set off for Chania via Auckland and Doha

Stay with Dave's brother Niall for a few days

1 - 3 September London Hope to catch up with our niece Patricia and Dave will follow up family connections. Tamara will meet up with her colleague Barb from Shell days (20 years ago). We're going to do a day trip to Oxford.

4 September Eurostar to Paris and lunch with Tamara's schoolfriend Ruth then on to Lyons to join our canal cruise.

5 - 10 September cruise along the Rhone visiting many interesting places details will follow in due course.

11- 13 September Arles. The Ochre trail will be a highlight. 14 - 15 Aix en Provence

16 September bus and train to Genoa for a brief visit then on to Cinque Terre the next day.

17 - 21 September We'll be based at Rio Maggiore and will explore the Cinque Terre region - very steep!

22 - 23 Lucca including a trip to Pisa to climb the tower

24 train to Florence then rome to catch our flight to Delhi

25 - 30 September India tour visiting Delhi Agra and Jaipur

1 October we'll be back hone, all being well
