Robin and I just arrived in Chiang Mai after a really really long train ride from Bangkok. I had never been on a train before so needless to say it was pretty exciting stuff. I've never felt so grubby as I did on that train, and I know that there will be many more grubfilled days to come.
I plan on taking a cooking course at some point in the north. Either here in Chiang Mai or in Pai where we are headed after this. I had a beautiful green basil curry yesterday for dinner and I can't wait to be able to build a meal like that on my very own.
Thailand is growing on me I suppose, I feel better being out of Bangkok and thank you to everyone for their nice words to push me to continue this adventure. I hope to meet some nice backpackers around Chiang Mai, and maybe tonight there will be all kinds of fun stuff to do because it's Halloween. Do they have Halloween in Thailand?
I hear stories from back home that it's snowing. I love the first snow, and while the first snow is happening in my hometown i'm here in northern Thailand covered in mosquito bites and sweating constantly. It's all about the experience, right?
love and miss all y'all....take care out there
