Mick at the Gates to the Old City
This is the start of the Night Market Geo: 18.8, 98.98
Started with a leisurely breakfast at 8.30am,wanted to relax after the trip, so went across to the Massage Palor and had a Neck, Shoulder and back massage with me adding a hand massage, wow it was brilliant.
A lady who looked like she was from Mary Poppins, was selling for 80 Baht sparrows she would release to ensure we had a safe trip home!
Mick had 15 minutes to wait for me so in the same area he found the shop that sells cashmere and silk rugs (no that is not all) he also found a tailor Sunni so when I came out we went and saw Sunni with me walking out getting a Jacket, skirt, pants and 3 shirts made. Fitting tomorrow and he will take in the 2 skirts I had made last time, unfortunately I had blowen up with fluid by the time they were made and this time I am getting in early.
Then Mick had seen Sam at the Cashmere shop so we stopped in there walking out with a silk rug, four cushion covers and a cashmere scarf, the poor guy he had so many rugs on the floor, plus cushion
Yum Yum
Take your pick crickets, deep fried silk worms take your pick. covers that we were walking on a lot of really good stuff, he had not made a sale for the last week! (saw us coming).
We went to Moo Moo Cafe, had lunch then back to the room for a nap. After that we took a tuk tuk to the Market, wow it was amazing with so much variety in the Old City, an experience well worth having and huge, we walked from 5.30pm to 9pm and still had not seen all of it. Just incredible.
Came back to the Hotel had a meal cooked on the street and then went to the Irish Pub in the Bazaar, had a couple of Chang and met the Lady Boys plus watched a variety of people in the Bazaar.
