Barbara had pre-booked an early pickup for us all to take an all-day boat and beach excursion. What a day it was!! It started after breakfast, when the four of us loaded into a truck with only benches on which to sit. I was not sure I would have wanted to have an accident in that. We were taken to the outdoor office of the boat company, where we were asked to pay our deposit. I thought I had 1,000 Baht bill with me (about $28), but I had really only picked up 100 Baht note – more than a little embarrassing. Luckily the tour company must had decided I looked trustworthy and let me pay later, and I was glad that did not stop us as this was the best day! We walked a long way to get on the motor boat and they took us to Bamboo Island where we enjoyed the beach, a beautiful lagoon where we got to swim (the most special experience), lunch at Phi Phi Island (large cockroach in the bathroom and bare feet-I still survived) and then the best snorkeling I have ever done -- soooo many types of fish. Anna tried to take a lot of pictures, but it was really hard to capture it all. She had a gadget that went over her iPhone so she could take underwater pictures, so we had at least some souvenir of the experience.

It was a great way to see what everyone raves about the Thailand beach area. The topography is unlike any other I have seen, and we all thoroughly enjoyed the day.

Again, we ate at our hotel and collapsed into bed. We never really were on any one time zone, so sleep was a relative term.
