On this trip, I will be visiting three countries, Poland, The Netherlands and Belgium. All are part of the European Union, however Poland uses it's own currency, the zloty, and will be the farthest east I have traveled in Europe. I picked each of these countries for one specific reason initially: Poland to visit Auschwitz, The Netherlands to visit the Anne Frank Museum and Belgium to visit the city of Bruges. I am also looking forward to exploring more of what each place has to offer!
Here's what's happening when:
May 31 - Depart O'Hare, layover in Zurich, Switzerland for a few hours and arrive in Krakow, Poland on June 1 via Swiss Airlines
June 1-4 - Lodging at the Redbrick Apartments in Krakow
June 4 - Depart Krakow for Amsterdam, The Netherlands via KLM airlines
June 4-8 - Lodging at Hotel Piet Hein in Amsterdam
June 8 - Travel by train from Amsterdam to Bruges, Belgium via Antwerp
June 8-12 - Lodging at Albert 1 in Bruges
June 12 - Travel by train from Bruges to Brussels
June 12-15 - Lodging at Novotel Brussels Centre Tour Noire in Brussels
June 15 - Depart Brussels for O'Hare via Lufthansa Airlines
I hope you will join me as I check some more items off of my travel "must-see" list!

I had the best time bicycling around the Netherlands. You get to see the beautiful countryside in a way that is unique and direct. Even the animals in the fields seem to have smiles on their faces as they gambol about. Pick up bicyles at
any train station and drop them at another train station. We made the beach our objective and between the 4 of us we found our !way
