Chengdu traffic
China has been great so far. My home stay parents are really nice. Although they do live in a really small apartment, I'd rather stay in a really small apartment with someone I like, than in a really big house with someone I don’t like. So this is working out as a good arrangement for me. The home that I am staying in is very far from the school. First I have to walk to the bus, which takes about 5minutes. Then I have to take a 20 minute bus ride to school. Riding in any road vehicle in Chengdu is the scariest thing I’ve ever experienced. Nobody ever follows the road rules, the drivers are all driving in a crazy way! The strangest thing is that there are no scratches on any of the cars. You would think that because of the way they drive that there would be scratches and dents on most of the cars. I’m not even going to mention the buses, lets just say that I don’t think the bus drivers even think about the passengers. Again they seem to avoid crashing. Food in China is better than I thought it would be. The noodles and dumplings are my favorite. Most days after school I get two or three dumplings as a snack. My home stay mother makes super good food. My favorite dish so far is fried egg and tomato, its soooooo goooood!
