I'm not sure what you know about Aberdeen, but here are some facts for your amusement!

Aberdeen - The "Granite City" (Scotland's third largest city)- is one of the most distinctive cities in the UK being built predominantly from granite, which sparkles in the sunshine and even after rain.

* The Union Bridge is the largest singel span bridge in the world.

* Aberdeen Harbour is Britain's oldest company, dating from 1136.

* 640,000 cubic feet of Aberdeen granite went intothe construction of the Forth Rail Bridge.
