Sayonara Party!Sayonara Party!Sayonara Party!

The Ariels and some of our Chorus Fish...they work with us in the air...
Hey Everyone,

Well, as you all know I'll be home in a week. I'm getting really excited but the past few days have been soooo hard. I had to say "Good Bye" to all the other Ariels on Thursday and working with a bunch of strangers has been tough too. I was really excited to extend my contract but it hasn't been as much fun as I imagined. Watching everyone else leave made me wish I was leaving with them. But as I said before extending is a great oppertunity and an extra week to do the small things I need to do before I go home is nice. On Sunday, my stage manager Mori San is taking me to Fuji-Q Highland. I'm not sure if you remember but during my theaters rehabilitation week I was planning on going there but the weather was bad. So, now I get to go. It's an amusement park with some record breaking rollercoasters. I'll be sure to take lots of pictures and send a blog home before I leave.
But this contract has been fun. Japan is the coolest place I've ever been and I have been so fortunate to have

had the oppertunity to live here and experience the culture. I have learned so much during the past 8 months and seen some amazing things. Oh and you may need to be patient with me as I will probably be speaking alot of Japanese at first. I even do it on the phone to my family. Once you drill it in to respond in Japanese so people understand you it's hard to just stop. But it's okay. Maybe you all will learn some Japanese from me. He He! Well, I'm pumped to come home and I can't wait to show you my pictures and scrapbook. I have tried my best to capture everything I've experienced here.
On Tuesday, we had our "Ariel Sayonara Party". I planned the whole thing and was happy that it turned out as good as it did. We had it at Planet Hollywood near the Disney Resort. They sectioned off a space for us and brought in a DJ and all. About 85 people came...all of which I work with. It was great to see that they cared so much. They gave us gifts and cards. It was so sweet. Summer and I put together

Summer and I dancing with Piro the Drag Queen...Isn't he cute!
a surprise dance with the drag queen who we went to watch in Shinjuku. We did it too "Cheeky Girls, Touch my bum" It was really cute. And then all the Ariels did a dance to "Barbi Girl, in Japanese" it was really funny too. So, the entertainment was good and people seemed to really enjoy themselves. Also, they took soooo many pictures of us. I felt famous because there must have been 100 flashes going off at the same time. It felt like the popperazzi. It was insane. Then after the party we went to Karaoke. That was an experience too. So all in all, I had a great time and got the chance to say good-bye to everyone. It's really hard to leave people who have become your family away from home. When you have no friends and no family in a foreign place, the people that you work with become both for you so it's even harder to leave them....especially knowing that you probably will never see them again....Well, Hona Sayonara....Good-bye.....

Love Always,
Megs
