UK - Singapore - Perth

Already it seems like we've been gone ages. We arrived in Singapore on Wednesday and stayed right in the middle of the city, so our first evening we just stepped out and walked around and found somewhere to eat. On Thursday we had a full-on sightseeing day starting with the hop-on hop-off bus, visiting Raffles Hotel, the botanical gardens (wonderful orchid section), a cable car trip over to Sentosa Island where there are loads of 'attractions'. We did have a go on some segways! The weather was comfortably hot and not too humid but cloudy. Singapore is busy and vibrant with loads of things to see and do so I think we did OK in just one day. After an early start this morning we arrived in Perth at about 4.00pm local time (we're 8 hours ahead of the UK). Just down the road is the WACA cricket ground and the England cricket team are staying in our hotel!!! After months of no rain at all it has now decided it's the time and they've just had a day of thunder storms. Cloudy and hot now so hoping it'll be a bit better tomorrow, it's normally Scorchio every day here!

Cable Car
I loved getting this and will become our biggest blog fan. We used to live on one of the islands a bit to the east of Sentosa. They were building the cable car as we left - we used to have to get boats and ferries back and forth to the mainland. Can't wait for the next issue! Axx
