well, it's our last night in Chiang Mai so time to upload the latest batch of photos. We've enjoyed our stay here but Chiang Mai is definitely better for tourists on holiday with a nice pot of spending money rather than travellers on a tight budget. That's not to say it's a bad place by any stretch of the imagination!

Thanks to everyone for the messages - Andrea, Casey & Ashley and Mum and Dad. We haven't forgotten you all back home, I promise. A big recent birthday cheer for Mary, Glynn's mum. Hope you had a brilliant day. Pressies are on their way to you as we speak - sorry we couldn't get them to you on time but hope you like them!

Sleeper Train
Glynn gets his bunk ready on the night train from Bangkok to Chiang Mai. It was actually more comfy than it looks - honest!

Parasol Painters
Watching the umbrella painters was amazing. They could paint these big umbrellas in about 15 minutes with 3 people working like a mini production line.

Buddha on a Boat
Near the so called Golden Triangle is this big gold Buddha on a pretend boat. What else would you expect to find?

Thai Countryside
Just a nice photo of some of the gorgeous Thai countryside. Check out the ominous looking clouds - we were treated to a massive thunderstorm just minutes later.

What the Tuk?
Here we are, racing through Chiang Mai in the back of a clapped out old tuk-tuk. It was a wee bit bumpy as you can see from the pic.

Little Red Bus
We wanted to go to Doi Suthep temple and the only way to get there is in one of these red buses which are basically converted pick-up trucks.

Nice Name
Not sure I would want a tattoo done in this place!

Brain Freeze
These slurpee brain freezes (like Slush Puppies) are available from all good 7-Eleven shops and Jude's addicted (I blame you, Will!).

Amazing what you can pick up at the Saturday market. Don't worry mum, it's only henna!

Same name as the last temple but this one was right on our doorstep.

This craftwork malarkey can be done by any fool as Jude deftly demonstrates.

Sunday Walking Market
The weather was glorious this time and people turned out in their droves to shop till they drop at the Sunday walking market, arguably Chiang Mai's best and probably biggest market.

Jish suspects it's not only tourists who engage in the odd illegal smoke around here...

Aum Veggie Restaurant
They should rename this place Yum restaurant because the food is so damn good here. Even Jish has his chopsicks at the ready!

you guys look like you have lots loads of weight, you hardcore travellers. hope your still having fun and havnt fun out of money yet, im starting Goldsmiths in 2 weeks, pretty scared!! love Millets Girl Maddiexxxxxx
