My TrainMy TrainMy Train

Here she is, the old girl who took me to Scotland.
Finally I can put another destination than London! I'm in Edinburgh, it's an amazing looking place, all the old buildings are even more impressive than London.
My first impression hasn't been the best though. I got into the station at 6:30pm and trickly made my way to the hostel via the terrible instructions from their website. Thank god it's a smaller town than London. Basically it's as dirty as London, it smells as bad and there are surprisingly even more beggers. But on the plus side it looks great and there's alot more of an atmosphere here, lot's of interesting people around the place.
The hostel has it's problems, it's brand spanking new, in fact they only opened 3 days ago, so although the rooms are really nice and bathrooms are great, there are NO other facilities that their website talked about, no web, no bar, no games room. So I'm feeling pretty pissed about that, was planning on making a bid for a discount but overheard a woman this morning doing the same thing and getting nowhere so I can't bothered. Also, there is bloody noone around, even the guys in my room arn't interested in being social. So I

wanted to go out last night but really didn't feel up to going to a bar alone, so just read for a bit and went to bed. Bit lame.
Today I'm been wandering around in the famous Scotish drizzle and checking out the sights. The castle is pretty cool from the outside, but at £10.40, I'm not sure what it looks like inside!

I wish you were here too! Travelling alone has it's pros, but definatly has it's cons as well.

Thanks for the train pics. Was it a fun ride or did it get boring? The views along the way look pretty cool. Was the first class seat really all that first class?

The weather
It's shovering right now here. It's really weird after 2 months of wonderful weather in London, which is supposed to be rather wet. The world's upside down.

Train ride
The train ride was pretty good. Didn't get boring as I had an interesting book to read and plenty of scenery. It was pretty first class, actually I meant to take a pic but forgot. I had a pretty comfy chair and a table. no chair beside me and no one in the chair in front of me.
