Here we go again! All the motos are on their way to Valparaiso for our Patagonia Expedition - we fly in at the end of October for more South American adventure.

We have a great team ready to ride with us from Chile, over the Andes into Central Argentina before exploring the fascinating terrain of Argentina Patagonia on our way to Ushuaia.

With only four weeks to go before we fly out to Chile to rendezvous with our motos we shipped to Valparaiso a couple of weeks ago, the excitement is mounting amongst our small group of adventurers.

Joining us on this Patagonia Expedition we have four riders that have been with us to the High Andes a couple of years ago - Tiny and Rippa Campbell from down the Naki, both riding their KTM's and David Lees from Auckland on his KTM (ex Tiny) along with Jack Scheres from Putaruru on his trusty BMW 650 GS.

Joining us for the first time, is Noel Schrider, also from down the Naki way and riding his KTM

Both Gerardo and I will be riding our BMW 1200 GS's.

Another friend of ours, Christian Rojas from Santiago will join us for part of the way from Punta Arenas, North to Valdivia.

I met Christian in Tongoy on my first adventure to South America in 2005 and he joined us for the Bolivian section of our High Andes Adventure in 2008, so it will be good to ride with him again.

Driving the chase truck for us this year are our adventurous friends, Paul and Melean Absolum from Auckland.

Paul and Melean came with us on our Shadow of the Andes 2CV Expedition through Chile, Argentina, Bolivia and Peru in their little yellow 2CV, so now they get to see the Southern landscape of South America and the Patagonia with us, and are really looking forward to the challenge.

Darbi Accessories in Auckland, as distributors of the Continental TKC 80 tyres and Spectro Oil have supported us again this year with tyres, oil and chain lube. Thanks again Steve, String and the team at Darbi Accessories.

So, let the adventure begin.....
