On Saturday I went to Warwick Vineyard for wine tasting and a picnic.

How beautiful. You can choose where you have your picnic, we chose to sit in the forest courtyard. really nice area just next to the main building over looking the lawn. As the afternoon went on we decided we should have picked the lawn area to sit and eat as you go to lie on the grass with big cushions and an umbrella looking out over the lake.

But any way we had chosen the courtyard which was still just as pleasant. We had our wine tasting session, 3 whites and 4 reds then our gourmet picnic arrived.

french stick, 2 cheeses and parma ham with a jam, quinoa and beetroot salad, rare beef with a horse radish and mustard sauce, goats cheese skewers, salad with croutons and garlic and for desert cheese cake with a berry compote. it was lovely and more than enough food. The deserts came in little jars as did the salad.

Just when you thought your day couldn't get any better we got free tickets to go and watch the Stomers play Waratahs at Newlands Stadium on the night.

The rugby game wasn't up to much!! free tickets so can't complain, but it was a cool experience, beers on the lawn before the game!!

Sunday had a lazy start as the whole of Stellenbosch was without power from 8am till around 5pm. They were doing some work!! so when you can't do your normal jobs you just have to laze around and enjoy the weather and the view from the stoop.

we left for Cape Town at midday. As we were coming into the main waterfront area of CT i saw P&O Aurora docked in the harbour! How funny, didn't know the ship would be in and if Clare hadn't got married this year I might have been meeting my aunty off the boat!!

We headed straight to one of our favourite bars, Harbour Inn, it over looks V&A waterfront and they serve Peroni on draft!! Bennett got to buy the expensive beers for now!!!

From their we needed food but also wanted to show B the 'one and only'!

So we walked round to the luxury hotel next to the aquarium and had beer (me) and G&T's (JK and B) and ordered some tapas. I love going to the one and only, you don't know you in the middle of CT and it looks out over the canal system with paddle boarders and little boats going past.

We unfortunately couldn't stay too long as we were heading to Kirstenbosch gardens to see Jeremy Loops play in concert.

45 minutes of traffic approx a 2 mile walk carrying a heavy cool box of drinks, up hill we found ourselves a spot of grass and sat down to listen to the music surrounded by mountains in the gorgeous gardens. 5 thousands people were there on the lawn enjoying the weather, surroundings and music. SUCH FUN (miranda)

I had a fab weekend.
