Ticket to Easter Island

Ya tengo el billete a Isla de Pascua, por menos de 500 dolares, unos 350 euros, por ida y vuelta. Para ser temorada alta es el precio mas barato posible. Viajo el dia 12 y vuelvo el 17 a Santiago, o sea, que estare 4 dias pasando hambre alli como un rapa nui con la canoa pinchada. La tactica para conseguir billete barato es la siguiente. LAN permite reservar billetes sin coste para el dia, las reservas expiran a las 12 de la noche. Y reservar billete es gratis, solo dar tu nombre y ya esta. Yo ayer bloquee un billete de ida en economy para el dia 12, pero todos los billetes de vuelta hasta abril eran en Business (1000 dolares). Por tanto, hoy a las 4 de la mañana, en el aeropuerto de Santiago he ido a la oficina de ventas, alli he pillado el vuelo de ida que yo mismo habia bloqueado hasta las 12 de la noche, y he buscado una vuelta conveniente, y he tenido suerte, las habia baratas en el dia 17, posiblemente por reservas de gente que han expirado en la medianoche. Moraleja, compra tus billetes de LAN en la madrugada de Chile, y ahorraras un buen dinero.

I finally bought my plane ticket to Easter Island, for less than 500 dollars, about 350 euros. The cheapest possible price on high season. The strategy to get such a cheap price is the following: LAN permits to make reservations without cost, they are valid on the day, so they expire at midnight if no payment is done. I blocked yesterday a seat on economy for the 12th of this month, but there was no economy-seat back until April, and in Business it costs about 1000 dollars. As I came to the Santiago Airport today at 4AM, I went inmediatly to the ticket office, there I got my seat for the 12th (I myself had blocked it), and I looked for some cheap seat back. And I was lucky, on the 17th there were some, maybe some reservations that expired on midnight. Therefore, my recomendation is that if you buy your LAN tickets just after midnight (Chile Time), you will safe some good money.
