"Vanilla Orchid""Vanilla Orchid""Vanilla Orchid"

We rented a self contained villa a 15 minute walk from the beach and the all-inclusive where the other 30 were staying. It suited us fine and was much more affordable.
Last week we drove to Miami then flew to Roatan to attend the wedding of nephew Scott and his bride Lindsay. It was a very pleasant getaway - but for American Airlines losing our luggage for 5 days.

We had arranged to borrow clothes from relatives then the bag showed up unexpectedly the evening before the wedding.

Here are a few pics of our week.

We are back boat-sitting Gust O'Wind until the end of the months, then head across Florida to Dunedin to spend March in the sun. We may not be in a hurry to get home in April. Peg, the lady who does a walk around at our Sauble home once a week reported that she couldn't make it last week as there was 10 feet of snow in the driveway. She sent her son the next day!

Not a big beach, but very nice sand, clear water and the best snorkelling we have found outside Australia. "Same shirt. Different day!"

The reefs attract divers and snorkellers from North America and Europe.

I have my certification but the snorkelling is so good you don't need to dive.

Lovely occasion
Hi there, I think all weddings should be destinations so we can explore the world!! You all looked great, especially the beautiful bride and groom. We cruised to Roatan. Glad you got you clothes, that's not the first time, you must have nice looking suitcases. Lol. The weather back home is horrendous!,

Looks great!
Honduras is on our list as a possible place to visit - we go every December to El Salvador - Decameron Salinitas. The people are wonderful and it is oh so relaxing - we have been 6 times and only once so far have we gone off the resort once we're there - definitely a very laid back vacation - always hot and sunny, good for snoozing and reading by the quiet pool. I expect Honduras could be similar.
