Hi guys, felt that as I was going to keep this as a bit of diary it would be useful to start it off with the craziness of trying to organise myself for this trip.

Have just received my renewed passport & used it to get my police check finalised. Typically Aust Post managed to tell me to go the wrong PO to pick it up!

So what else is there to do? well not much really....

• pack up the unit
my desk in melb
pack my bag
get any injections
make sure dog is sorted
all documents are sorted
probably get a tooth out or root canal job
try and learn some Spanish
go to a high tea/hen's night/wedding/birthday/ all in Feb
get all my finances (not much to do there haha) etc in order
finalise accommodation and flights (that's why there's not much to do in finances)
buy stuff like universal plug thingy, etc

I probably need to do some more research on Peru, Ecuador, & Mexico. Tried to register with SmartTravel but the dam thing kept dropping out just as I got to the last bit of information, grrrr.

Good thing is that I have got some essential things organised eg, travel wallet, sleeping bag, travel locks (thanks Janey), accommodation when I get home (thanks Pammy), awesome travel arrangements (thanks Sharee) and lots of encouragement (thank you one and all).

I plan to update my profile pic once I get going but love this shot of Nitro & Kelly (thanks Zeeny).

Will update periodically while still in OZ to get the feel of this site before I have to make serious entries from OS.

Looking forward to your comments too! 😊

Adios for now!

Nothing like getting in early! However you never know someone might have some bright ideas to share with you.
