Arrived in New York. Gathered my bags and headed to the city bus.
I had to wait a while for the bus which gave the ticket guy a chance to strike up a conversation with me. With out wasting time with small talk he got to the real issues. He asked me if it's true that tall guys have big dicks and asked me whether I had a big dick, told me that he likes big dicks, asked whether i had ever been with a man, whether I wanted to, "giving of course" as he likes to receive. This barrage was justified by a "we are very open here in America". BTW I answered yes to 2 of the questions 😊 I was quite bewildered by this encounter but nun the less crossed my fingers that the girls in America would also be this forward. In addition, I can assure you that the bus was the only thing that came at that bus stop. Unfortunately it was full so I had to wait another half an hour with my new friend and his charming choice of conversation.

Later I arrived at Grand Central Station. A short walk from hear carrying my board i met Mayank my New York host who I met on Contiki at his very impressive new office building. It's foyer was like a night club, glowing in neon Blue. Mayank still had a few more hours of work to kill so I headed to Fed Ex to have more board freighted to California then chilled in a Cafe.
It was a relief not having to lug my board through the states.

Although my timing to arrive in New York was inconvenient as Mayank as he started a new job on the same day I arrived, he really looked after me and we had a great time started off with a tour of his very nice apartment where I was to stay for the next three nights and then out for some very impressive Mexican Food followed by beer at an Aussie Bar.

The next day I explored the Big Apple on foot. I checked out:
American Cable TV
Times Square
Central Park
5th Avenue
Empire State
Madison Square Garden

That night Mayank and I hung out, played a little guitar and cruised out for some Authentic New York Pizza.
We then settled in for the night with some beer and a movie with his house mate.

My second day of exploration included:
Statue of Liberty and
Ground Zero

I took the under ground to meet Jamie and Sean, two great guys from Manhattan who I met
on Contiki for some burgers. Was great catching up and eating a genuine American Burger.
All too soon we had to say goodbye as i had caught them on their lunch break.

On my last night I went out with Mayank and his cousin for Thai and to a club, The
Buddha Bar. Awesome food and the Club had a great atmosphere.

Early morning wake up, stepped out side and hailed my first Cab, New York style and cruised to the airport where I tipped my driver for a job well done and headed for Vegas.

Unfortunately I don’t seem to have any Pics with Mayank.
A Fantastic host even though I arrived on his first day of work in new job.
Thanks Mate.

Every thing in this town is big and impressive.
I could definitely have spent some more time here.
People who live in this town really love it, and I can see why.
