Hello all,

It’s been a tough start this season. I have bursitis in my hip, a broken toe and Jim was diagnosed with Carpal Tunnel in both hands. I had a cortisone shot in my hip, which helped a little – Jim was given a cortisone shot in one hand (to see if it was going to work) and hand braces to wear at night. The cortisone shot worked so well that on his follow-up a week later, he got the shot in the other hand. Something went wrong and his whole hand was achy and painful. We went back to the MD a few days later and Jim was given a Prednisone pak. He’s been taking it a few days now and starting to feel a little better.

We were supposed to start on our journey on Sunday, Dec. 1, but the weather reports have not looked good. In fact, we woke up Sunday morning to black ice. Good thing we decided to hold off. We are now trying for Tuesday, Dec. 3.

Our plans are to spend the month of Dec. in Biloxi, MS. We found, what looks to be a nice campground, with 7 casinos within a 12 mile radius. From there, we will head to Fort Myers, FL for the months of Jan. & Feb. – then onto Clermont, FL for our final month in March. We will leave Florida, March 31 to arrive home the first week of April.

I will write more – when we actually get to Biloxi!

Hello from Indio
Well, the weather seems be impacting a lot of people all over the place. Hope you get your start to MS soon. I've never been to MS; maybe we'll do it some day. RE: Your hip, hope it gets well soon! I think I told you I fell in July. Well, same as you, I have bursitis in the bursa, right hip. It only really bothers me when I get up from a bent position. Doc put me on Naproxin for 30 days and ice, ice, ice it!. OK. A little better but not fully. Hope you have better results. Bummer!!!! Always looking forward to your Blog and pics. Be safe on the road and healthy too. Hugs to Jim. Hope all gets improved for him too.
