First day of winter

We woke to find a sharp frost and a dusting of snow this morning - the first this winter - but also sun and blue sky. As the hills looked as if they'd stay white all day, we opted for a canal walk, and were rewarded with some beautiful autumn tree colours. The beeches have been glorious for a couple of weeks, but the oaks are only just changing.
