Weather Tower
If you have checked out the Obninsk website, here is the famous weather tower.This will be a short note since I do not have my offline journal with me, but I know I promised more pictures last time and I did not get them all posted so here are a few more.
The cable installers arrived yesterday, as they promised, but what I was not told, these are just installers. They do not bring the coupler to hook to your computer that is a different group and they will be here within the week so I am still without internet at the apartment. I finally found the internet cafe so I am posting this short note and a few more picutres.
One great experience happened today. We had a member of the US Embassy at the plant leading a tour of ag people today and he saw me with my OSU shirt. He too was an OSU grad, about 4 years after me, but he is working for the US Embassy and invited me to the Embassy to watch the Texas/OSU game. I think he said it was playing at 4:30 AM here, but I will get my car and driver to take me there then experience Moscow for the afternoon and sleep on the way home...lol
Again, I will get the longer journal posted in the next few days, but just had to tell everyone.
