Today we set off on an Outback Adventure to the Flinders Rangers. We hope to visit Lake Eyre.

First stop, Katoomba. Katoomba is situated in the Blue Mountains, west of Sydney.

We arrived here at lunchtime and set up the van. After lunch we drove to Scenic World, which was only a few minutes away from the Caravan Park. At Scenic World you have a few choices. There is a cable car which travels out over the escarpment, called the Skyway. There is a little train which drops straight off the cliff and travels vertically all the way down to the valley floor, called The Scenic Railway; and there is a more sedate cable car which glides down the side of the mountain slowly and allows you to relax and take in the wonderful scenery. We chose the cable car. Down in the valley below there is a lovely elevated board walk. It was beautiful down there, although a little chilly!! There were many unusual sculptures along the walkway. The walk took about an hour and a half. We then took the cable car back to the top of the mountain and stood at the lookout to take in

hmmm some people may think this is amazing, personally, I feel it spoils the natural beauty of the bush. It looks like a lot of plastic caught in the trees to me
