The first journey
After weeks of planning, packing, saying goodbyes, its Easter Sunday and we're leaving! The journey here took six hours from Billericay, Essex. It was a fair journey without hiccups, aside from a bit of bank holiday traffic on the M25. AP slept through most of it but suddenly awoke as we unexpectedly approached Stonehenge! We stopped there for our sandwiches and watched the ravens scavenge for some crumbs. We didn't go in; there were plenty of tourists visiting the ancient monument already, so it was onwards to Ceridwen! RM continued the drive and we had Daniel B's CD playing, thanks DB. We arrived late about 19:30 and Rob welcomed us with Diana at the doorstep offering us cups of tea. It was a warm welcome.
PYWORTHY
Pyworthy is a small village, quaint and quiet with a church, primary school and pub. It’s just off of Holsworthy which is the main town. It’s very peaceful here, with the songs from the birds and cow's mooing. The air is vastly different from that in London, it’s clean! Well near as dammit. The people are very friendly too, always happy to help with directions and lending jump leads
to start Charlie up (our converted transit van which seemed to decide not to start a couple of times).
CERIDWEN
So....Ceridwen, its lovely here. On the first day Rob showed us around the smallholding, they have twelve ducks, two geese and ten chickens. It has three polytunnels, outside beds, an orchard and an ever growing woodland in three acres of land, and their own beautiful library

Off on the big adventure at last :-}
Looks a bit like a hugified allotment. I would love it, all those ducks and animals, my idea of heaven. When I win the lottery I'm starting up a smallholding with camping on the side. Hope your journey gets better and better. Look forward to reading it all as you go along
