Today is definitely the hardest day. I went to breakfast at one of the old hangout, Rabbittown Cafe with my two best friends. We just back and loaded Mark's truck with the suitcases, yes, I did get it all in three suitcases, which I will post as soon as I download the pictures. I then said goodbye to my sister's silly cat that I am babysitting for the next couple of years that now my housemate is catsitting. I had a few minutes so I thought I would write a few words before we head out.

By far, this is the hardest day. I had trouble sleeping last night. I kept waking up, not sure if it was nerves, excitment, or the coffee I drank before going to bed, but I would wake up just about every hour. I guess that will make me tired to sleep all the way to Russia later today. I have held back the tears until now, but I must say, I had to get a tissue just a few minutes ago. Mark gave me a card as did Torque (from Mark). So now that I have got my composure back, I am finsih typing.

To all of my friends and family, I will miss you, but know I am only a phone call away (8 hours ahead of you on Eastern time) as soon as I get my number...lol I know this is going to be an exciting time, but I am going to miss many of people and friends I have here. I love you and thank you for everything you have done for me as well as supporting me in this opportunity.

Before I forget, I did get the Audi sold before I left. I am delivering it today to the new owner. We played the cat and mouse game for awhile and I think he got what he wanted and I was only $250 less than what I wanted, but now I do not have to worry about it and do not have to pay the insurance for it. I told Mark, I feel like I am loosing everything, no more boat, car (I still have the 57 Chevy), and room in my own house.

Okay, enough for now, I need to get on to the airport with all of my luggage. I hope everyone is well and I will type more once I am in Russia.

Love you!
Vince

I MISS YOU IN GAINESVILLE
Today was the hardest day for all your friends here in GA too! It did not truely hit me till I was driving home from breakfast that my friend is gone for a year. No more two quick honks of the car horn for warning. No more "I was just out for errands and stopped by to say hello and have a JD". Mark and I went for the usual Sunday "Pig Out" at Fire Mountain and we missed you! Hope your flight was good.... Thinking of you often! R
