Hi all

Currently still here in Ko Pha Ngan but leaving on Tuesday to fly back up to Bangkok. Here Daniel and I will spend a couple of days sightseeing and then I join my group on Friday to start the 'Thailand Experience'. I have received e:mails from all the people I will be meeting up with in the Lemon House! and they all seem nice.

Anyway, spent Wednesday out on a dive boat on the north of the island. We went from Chaloklum where we got the boat and it took us to the National Marine Park. Daniel did 2 dives whilst I snorkelled. It was fantastic as loads of corals and huge fish to see, a good group on the boat and you get breakfast, lunch and all refreshments. A great day but completely knackering. Spent the next day by the pool relaxing as very hard work here you know, there has been quite a breeze the last few days which is wonderful as makes sunbathing bearable although still spending most of the time in the pool. In the evenings we have been going into the main area of Haad Rin and all the restaurants have big comfy chairs and great big screens showing all the lastest movies which you lot are still watching at the cinema. It's a great way of spending an evening with a few drinks as too hot to do much else. Yesterday (Saturday) Nadine (Daniels friend) who is currently working over here became our tour guide for the day. We hired a jeep and went into the jungle (thought I had better get some practice in). We walked up to a view point which was a very steep and long climb with no particular path (you have to watch your step very carefully). Once at the top though you get an amazing view of the whole island, which makes it worth while as have never been so hot and sweaty in my life walking up there. After this Nadine took us to a place which sells the most amazing home made ice cream and which was thoroughly deserved. Oh by the way because I know you are all wondering, no not many creepy crawlies. Saw loads of lizards and butterflies and 1 tree snake. Thank god no spiders (yet!). Nadine then took us for a Thai Massage and it was a much better experience than before, felt very relaxed after and could of fallen asleep. The massage was at a temple and there is a herbal steam room for all to use and you just give a contribution to the monks. I thought the idea of a steam room would be maddness in this heat but it was actually wonderful and you feel very cleansed afterwards. There are buckets of cold water which you chuck over yourself when you come out (bit of the shock to the system). That evening we met up with Nadines sister Karen (also working over here) and her boyfriend and we went for dinner at eat as much as you like BBQ (heaven). The BBQ is hot coals in a pit on your table and you go up and grab veg, rice, noodles, seafood, meat etc and cook it yourself. It was very nice and managed to completely pig out. (am sure I will start losing weight next week!). Anyway spending the last 2 days here chilling out then on to Bangkok. Hope those of you at work are hard at it and not coping so I have a job to come back to and to eveyone else e:mail me soon. I have a new mobile number whilst in Thailand so will send the number to you all as very cheap rate to text. This number will be in use until end of september when I move onto Australia. Bye for now.
