Departed Townsville 9am wed. Winds were on the nose all the way, so made for a slow trip to Orpheus Island. Got there just on dark, so had to find the mooring bouy with the help of a spotlight. Roast had been put on during the trip, so it was nice to settle down with a roast for dinner. 25 - 30kts predicted for next 2 days, so left early - 7am and had such a quick trip went on to Mourilyn Harbour instead of Dunk Island where we were going.

Another early start today as we wanted to catch the tide before it started going out. So, away by 6am after an unsettled night. Once again, lots of wind and a quick trip, so....decided to go all the way to Cairns rather than to Fitzroy Island. Here now, anchored by 4pm and will go into the Marina tomorrow.

Needless to say, one of us enjoyed the trip more than the other. Had a few minor issues to sort out, but worked very well as a team in difficult circumstances and boat behaved very well -so all very postive. So, this post is for Maggie who was wondering why I hadn't updated my posts yet. Maybe soon I'll even put on some photos.
