Well yesterday I gave Masenori-kun and Ishii-chan the macaroni and cheese, which they loved XD *happiness* I made them both little bento with the pasta and Israeli salad, which I placed in cute little containers and wrapped in pretty cloth. Ahh..I’ll made such a good Japanese mama someday 😉 hehehe! Then last night I had my Japanese lesson at Gifu Station, where I learned quite a bit of kanji and some more grammar. I really lucked out with this teacher, because she’s so good. After I talked to Charlene for a bit, but it was already quite late so I had to run out to meet Ko-san. Since it’s about an hour back home and Ko-san had to pick Kaki up at juku at 10, we just decided to stay in the area and do some shopping. I bought some more manga (of course) as well as some really cool slip on sneakers that were on $7!!! How cool is that?? They also had some fabulous accessories on sale, so I just had to get a couple…I mean $3 for bracelets and 4 hair clips!! Score!! Unfortunately, as we got to the car after shopping I realized I had left my books in the store, but when we went back the store was closing, so we had to have a security guard escort us up to the second floor to get them…he was obviously annoyed, and I was so embarrassed!!! Wai!!!! I’m always doing dumb stuff like that :P At least Ko-san wasn’t mad, she’s so nice! When we (finally) left the shop (for the second time), we went and picked up Kaki, who was luckily just getting out. Then when we went home we got back just in time to see Nana!!! Ahhh so good!! I was like in tears by the end. The seiyu (voice actors) for the anime are really good. People who have never watched anime, and I mean good anime, not like Pokemon or Dragonball, don’t really get it. But these actors are incredible, way better than I’ve seen anywhere else. Plus the “grown-up” anime have story lines that basically mirror many popular western dramas, sitcoms, etc. It’s just that it’s in cartoon form. But the animation is spectacular. You have to appreciate it for the art as much as for the acting and story. Speaking of anime and manga, since Fruits Basket is ending next week I have had to find a new favorite manga along with Nana (because one just isn’t enough, hehe) which I finally have in the form of Ouran High School Host Club by Bisco Hatori. Check out more info here: http://ouran.krysyuy.net/ouran.html

Ouran High School Host Club
Story & Art: Bisco Hatori
Viz's Summary:
In this screwball romantic comedy, a poor girl at a rich kids' school ends up working for the school's swankiest club—and gets mistaken for a boy!
One day, Haruhi, a scholarship student at exclusive Ouran High School, breaks an $80,000 vase that belongs to the "Host Club," a mysterious campus group consisting of six super-rich (and gorgeous) guys. To pay back the damages, she is forced to work for the club, and it's there that she discovers just how wealthy the boys are and how different they are from everybody else.

This summary doesn’t do it justice, this is a really funny, cleverly written story and the art is breath-taking, so, of course, I’m sold 😉 The anime is also available for free download up to episode 16 at www.animesuki.com which covers up through the middle of volume 5 in the manga. Anyway, that’s enough about that, check it out if you’re interested hey? Tonight I’m going to a bar with Charlene and Helen which is supposed to be really good, so that should be fun 😉 And tomorrow I’m going to play volleyball with a bunch of people from work. So all in all its shaping up to be a great weekend. I’ll keep you posted!
