At sea day two
I overslept this am and missed breakfast. By the time I shaved and showered it was lunch time. I missed the cooking demo at 11:00, but after lunch I made the “International beer tasting” event. Four beers; Red Stripe from Jamaica, Warstringer from Germany, Carlsberg from Denmark and Blue Moon from USA. My partner, Don, and I won the beer trivia game and each got a pin! After that I went to the wine tasting event. We tried Simi Sauvignon Blanc, Damzanti Pinot Grigio, Diseno Malbec and Spellbound Cabernet Sauvignon. The sommelier explained a lot about the wines and the characteristics of the different wines. I missed the mixology class, but you can’t do it all. I accessed the internet to check my messages and upload the travel blog and then went to happy hour. At the happy hour I was with a guy from Australia who had a female companion with him. I had seen him at the beer tasting earlier. We shared info about traveling and Australia. The bartenders and servers are starting to call me by name, from “Sir Charles” to “Mr. Chuck”. Tonight is scheduled as a formal night in the dining
room. Forget about it! I’ll do the buffet. After dinner I went to meet my designated driver for the duration, Captain Peter Bos.
Went to the 50’ - 60’s music with DJ Alex. Good time with my favorite music. Lots of couples dancing. Sunset at 9:30 - daylight until 10:00. Then to the piano bar. Goodnight! Tomorrow Puerto Montt, Chile. I’ll be doing “A Taste Of Chile” with a local chef. Should be good.
