The very first picture together!
Hello Everyone!!!

Well, Kelsey arrived safe and sound here in Japan. I was so excited to see her. It is so nice having her here to say with me. I missed her so much! So...I'll get to it...Since Kelsey has arrived we have been pretty busy. The night she got here I picked her up at the hotel, where the bus dropped her off, and we went to E-Village where I live. We got washed up and went for dinner. I took her to a small Chinese restaurant in the Ito Yokado, the mall just by my house. Yes I know....Chinese....her first meal in Japan. But it was the closest restaurant and she was tired. So, we ate and then went back to my place where we attempted to watch a movie...but she didn't make it very long. She was out like a light!

The next day I got up early and set off to work. I believe Kelsey slept and just hung out at my place until I got home. Then when I got home we went to the travel agent where we booked out tickets for climbing Mount Fuji and a 3 day trip to Kyoto.

Summer getting her Obi tied in the street!
After we finished with the agent we went for dinner at a restaurant called "Syzeria" and rented a couple movies and just hung out. Being that Kelsey was still a little jet legged and I had a 6:45 call time the next morning.

After I came home from work the next day, Kelsey and I went to go buy our Yukata's for a Yukata ship party that we were going on that night. So we went to a store and picked out our Yukata rob pattern, our obi's to match and our wooden shoes. A Yukata is a traditional Japanese summer robe. It basically looks like a Kimono but it is cotton, not silk. Anyways, we went home and got ready in our Yukata's. They were definately a challenge to get on, since they are one size fits all and they were dragging on the floor. We had to pull them up and tuck them in and then tie our obi's around our waists very tight to keep it all together. It was an experience. Once we were ready we went down stairs to meet with the other Ariels who were going with us. Everyone looked so beautiful.

On our way to the Ship Party!

So, we went to catch the bus but some of the girls did not know how to tie their obi's....because ours were pre done we the bow was already tied...we ended up asking people on the street to tie them for them. It was pretty funny. After we were all tied in we caught the bus and set off to Tokyo to catch the ship. When we were on the train EVERYONE stared at us like we were aliens. Gaijin....(pronounced as guy-jean)...Japanese for foreigners....get stared at all the time because there are so many Japanese and very few gaijin so having us in Yukata's really didn't help in that department. Hehehe! Well, once we arrived at the Harbour we met up with some of my Japanese cast. Kelsey got to meet some of my favourite people here in Japan, so I was very happy about that. Anyways, we bought our tickets and got on the ship. It was so much fun. It was a huge ship full of people all dressed up. There were food stands all over and all you drink, drinks. There was live entertainment as well, which included dancers in their Ukata's and a full on game

of Rocks, Paper, Scissors. It was hilarious. The ship went all around Tokyo and the view was amazing. It was so much fun. Once the ship got back to the harbour we set off home where we fell asleep and prepared our bodies for the next days treacherous hike up Mount Fuji.

Love ya,
Megs

Ukata Party
It looks like you two had lots of fun. Kelsey is so much darker than you are Megs. I thought that you would be tanned with the hot weather there but I guess not. You two are starting to look very different from each other as you get older. Maybe it is just the tan Kelsey has from hot hot Edmonton. Have fun girls and call. I am in Ontario now so skype us sometime OK?? Love Mom and Dad
