17 hours to go before take off..
I am finally packed, an Olympic feat worthy of a gold medal. While I am limited to 50 pounds for the first flight, I am further restricted to 20 pounds on the in-country flight on
Air-Holy Crap. As some of you know I hate to fly so the in-country flight to my first destination has me a little worried. I had convinced myself it would be okay until I received the ticket; hand written and it included my cost of the fuel based on body weight. If at first glance this aircraft looks like it was pulled out of a museum or built by a 13 year old in his garage, then I will surely opt for the 14 hour bus ride. The buses are old, converted school buses with no a/c. It is also the transportation of choice by the local native tribes men (and their livestock). Does your brain keep conjuring up scenes from the movie
Romancing the Stone too
? First stop on my whirlwind 2 month tour is the beautiful mountain town of
Boquete where I will live with a non-english speaking family and their pet turtle. From there I will spend the next three weeks commuting from their casa to my Volunteer Project at LaJungla and the intensive language training school.
Predicted weather for the first 2 weeks.. RAIN. Of course right?!.

Born for this too!
I am loving these.. Traverse the planet beyond the fabric cube that has withered our souls yet not our wills to rise upward! Accept existence, or expect resistance! Standing by - the beast
