Well Amy and I woke up from our naps and looked at the clock to discover that our light little naps had turned into serious three-hour ones! When we woke up, Misha and Stewart (my sister and brother-in-law) had arrived at the house, too, and we were all starving and itching to check out the city. So we went and grabbed the tube (I lost my ticket so I had to buy another one! ugh) and got off and stopped at a little pub where I had the most amazing chicken sandwich of my life and lukewarm water (yuck!).

Then we walked around and found this little market in an old church courtyard (I forget which one) and shopped. I bought two Egyptian papyri from this adorable little Egyptian man. He showed me pictures of the whole process of making them and we talked about Egypt and America and he was just so nice. Then after I bought the pictures, he gave me a great big long hug and kissed me on both my cheeks and gave me a business card. 😊 If all people in Egypt are that nice, then I would love to live there!

Then we walked around some more to the Picadilly Circus, which is the equivalent to Time Square in NYC where there were PLENTY of shops and sights to keep our eyes and wallets busy. We shopped at a little mall and in all the street souvenir shops then Misha and Stewart took off to go see some museums and stuff and Amy and I shopped some more 😊.

Then when we got tired of shopping, we found this little park which was so urban and grungy, and yet so welcoming and quiant. It was Soho Park and it was really cute. We sat on a bench and just watched people for a long time, and then Amy got out her Poi to spin and all the people we were watching started watching HER! 😊 Then the fun part for me was that she let me play with her Poi and taught me some really cool tricks, so it looks like I'm kind of good now, even though I'm completely awful haha. Amy is brilliant at it, though. She looks like she's dancing when she spins and it's so graceful and relaxing to watch. Then we got up and shopped some more and just walked around and looked at people and stores and architecture until it was getting dark and starting to get chilly too. We really wanted to find a cool place with live music or something, but unfortunately we couldn't. Hopefully another day 😊

After walking all over, we finally found a tube station and rode the tube back home. We get there and Amy crashed immediately and I just fiddled around online and wrote Nathan some emails and stuff. I eventually fell asleep too, but I woke up at 11:00 and went online again. Then the whole rest of my family got in around 11:30 or 12:00 and we all talked for a while until they went to bed..... but the time change has made me an insomniac, so who knows when I'll finally get tired enough to sleep............... 😊

Until my next adventure!

Cool! Sleep Silly :)
Oh Krystyna! I'm glad you're first day was fun - However, I do wish you would start sleeping. Weren't you the one that told ME I needed to take care of MYSELF? My dear, my dear, please do this for me.... Sleep. Sleep and get your strength back. I love you.
