We had another lovely (rather cool) day yesterday. They are having a drought here and are wishing it would rain and we are so happy when it doesn't. Sounds like a selfish tourist doesn''t it? We actually missed the morning service because we were too late. We thought it was 11:00, but it was 10:30. But, not to worry, the Evensong in the evening was really a proper service and not what we expected. The morning service was just a prayer and communion. The church was full in the morning and about 35 people in the evening. Here are some more pictures.

At St. Giles
Here we were ready for morning service that was almost over when we got there.

A very old cemetery
I decided to take some pictures of stones that we could still read. This was 1846.

This was on a multiple grave with 6 people's names on the octagonal above ground stone.

I took this one for John Wolfe so he can figure out the dates.

Green Templeton College
This is the parking lot at Green Templeton College. It had about 10 times that many bikes on a week day.

Roast Dinner
We had booked here for their Sunday Special of a traditional "Roast Dinner". It was so good, especially the Yorkshire Pudding.

Chrissy had the roast pork with applesauce. It was great too.

This was originally a book publisher, but a charming pub now.

Evensong at St. Giles
A beautiful church with a tremendous pipe organ. We'll go back in the week and take some more pictures.
