Yesterday I awoke with the taste of sweaty shoe in my mouth. Completely disoriented, my eyes slowly traced the room looking for any sign of familiarity. After about twenty seconds it occured to me that I was in the TV room of my hostel, fully dressed, and completely hungover. My mind felt like it was in shrinkwrap. You see, Argentina won in overtime on Saturday and the town celebrated accordingly. I got home at... dunno... but I remember it being light out while I zigzagged home. The only clear thought I remember having when I woke up, which was at 1 pm and only because someone wanted to watch TV, was: "WATER". The rest of the day was spent trying to piece it all together based on the various oddities about my person.

I had a bruise on my left leg: not making it accross the little metal fence in the plaza. Check.
My glasses were bent: probably from the same fence incident, but it's hard to know.
I was down about 50 Pesos, which is a LOT for here. This is no surprise...
I was missing a shoelace: now this one is still a mystery to me.

So, being in the rough shape I was, I decided to spend the day in the park with a new French Canadian friend named Ariane. We rented a four-wheeled pedal car and rode around the stunning palm-tree lined park and sat by the water for some lunch. Too bad I was heading off that night for the big BA...

I just arrived in Buenos Aires after deciding that I didn't have enough time left to spend much time in Cordoba. The 16 hour bus ride was long but luxurious (who knew you could be served fine Whiskey on a bus!?!?). I am planning on being here at least two and a half weeks, but who knows exactly. This city has been hyped so much to me that I can't imagine that I will want to leave sooner than I have to.

Ciao for now
