Dont be fooled, we only have a couple of rooms. Not bad though... :)
Hello everyone!

Sorry that it has taken so long to update this for you, it takes quite a while to set it all up and it is difficult to get use of a computer for a decent amount of time.

I will start off with telling you about our trip to London. We headied to London to celebrate 2 years together for Steve and I and Steve had suprised me with a nice night at the Marriot, which is located next to the London eye on the River Thames. Unfortunatly the weather wasnt in the same romantic mood. Strong winds that threatened to collapse our umbrellas, our only protection against the downpouring rain. Monday was a little better and started of with our included breakfast of the morning, which if you were to pay up front in the hotel for the English Breakfast is £20 (roughly $45 aussie dollars). After we left the hotel we started off to Westminster Abbey where we did the audio tour that took us to the tombs of such people as Queen Elizabeth I, Mary Queen of Scotts, King Henry VIII etc. A fantastic tour full of history. Then it was off to Grove Park to visit Uncle Jack, my grandfathers cousin. For 84 he was talkative and great fun. We spent 3 great hours there before having to leave to attend a prior engagement. I am sure that I will be back soon. We then met up with some people that we worked with at home. Some live here now and some were travelling. When you are sitting in London with 6 other Australians that you worked with at home, you have to pinch yourself to remember that you are actually on the other side of the world. All up it was a great couple of days.

Not long after that our new found friends, Tony and Debbie took us for a day trip to Cambridge. A lovely place, but once again the weather was against us and we were subjected to an open top busride from hell. Hard to explain but lets just say that Steve learnt a valuable lesson - When on top of a bus, watch for low lying branches. It still was a very fun day.

My 21st brithday, you will be happy to know was a very special and memorable experience that I plan to have again when I return home. Everyone here made me feel so special and my party had a great turnout and much fun was had by all. Steve and Tony paired up for a duet of 'I dont know much, but I know I love you' I think the crowd numbers had dropped considerably by the time they were done 😊 Jade and Lauren made it up from London as well which meant heaps to me. Unfortunatly there isnt much goss that came from the evening as we were all quite well behaved.

Steves cricket is going well and he is enjoying the coaching of the kids. My work is going well and we are able to save most of what I earn for our trip of Europe that we will start in late September. Steve has also become very domesticated, cooking and cleaning while I am at work.

You will be happy to hear that the weather picked up for a few weeks although it is a little chilly again today. I even got burnt at one cricket match!

If I can think of anything else I will make sure I include it in our next update. We head to Liverpool this weekend and Steves birthday is coming up. Still missing you all very much and I know that after we have satisfied our explorers within we will be so happy to return home to see you all.

All our love - Liz and Steve
