From Cusco we flew to Puerto Maldonada, in the lowlands of the Amazon jungle towards the border of Bolivia. From there we had a bustransfer to Tambopata river port and an additional hour in a longboat to Posada Amazonas lodges in the community of Infierno where we were going to spend two nights. A perfect place to recover from Inca Trail - temperature steady 30-35 degrees. relatively short walks in the forest with guides telling us about local flora and fauna. The soundworld was incredible especially at nighttime. But everything comes to an end sometime, from Puerto Maldonada I moved to Quito in Ecuador to start my last adventure to the Galapagos islands

Hyvaa itsenaisyyspaivaa kaikille !

What happened in Quito and the Galapagos?
I went to the same place and really enjoyed it there! Loved the outdoor rooms. Did you end up in Quito?

Hello Andrea
Yes the rooms were great, I just layed in the bed and listened to the jungle sounds and watched the fireflies, it is a pitty that you have to sleep sometime. After Amazonas I continued to the Galapagos, via Quito and now I am back here again only for one night and to start my way back home tomorrow. Merry Christmas to you !

Oj, vad jag är avundsjuk på ditt besök i Machu Picchu... Det måste ha varit fantastiskt! Jättefina bilder - igen. God jul! :-)
