We left Mexico very early this morning. Our transit stop in Dallas was longer by 3 hours because of a panel replacement on our plane.
From Narita Airport we caught the metro train to Ikebukuro station. We caught the wrong train on two separate occasions and what should have been a 1.5 hour train ride took us 3 hours.
In the rain, we walked to our hotel, Kimi Ryokan and arrived finally at 11pm. We had travelled more than 30 hours from Mexico to Japan ' door to door'.
We dropped our bags in the room and went out for dinner and had Ramen noodles.

Hi Alan & Aleena, I was worried when I heard on the radio that Japan was hit with another typhoon. I called at your house last night and Rachael returned my call. Asked Rachael if she had heard from either of you and she mentioned that she also heard on the radio and contacted you both. Rachael mentioned that you said you were in the middle of the typhoon and that all was well, as you were on the other side. I saw pictures of it on the t.v. last night. Hope that all will be subsided very soon and that the final leg of your anniversary will prove to be very memorable. See you both soon. Much Love Always, Brian and Auge
