Decided to take a tour to the deserts beyond the city of Yazd to 3 other towns on the outskirts. My guide and driver arrived puntually. I loved the tour. Started the day with a morning walk through an old city of mud...Different from what you can see in Yazd. Fortress walls and citadels also enclose this town. On the edge of Kavanagh are crop fields with efficient irrigation. There was also a shaking minaret and a dried river bed with a nice bridge. The driver was a geography teacher in school but because school has stopped for the summer, he drove to earn some $$ i guess.. and both of them are really knowledgable..sometimes they stopped to discuss things. aquiduct structures, siphoning, plants, /....these guys know everything. We ate from a mulbery tree , it was windy and cool and it was a refreshing walk through this town. Liked it a lot...Think i like the morning hikes and walks best...always makkes you feel good.

Chak Chak(drip drip) was home of the Zorastrians....Iran's oldest religion . Climbed up these tiring steps to get to the holy site. This site will welcome thousands of Zorastrian pilgrams in abt 10 days time.

Last stop was Meybod where we had lunch before visiting castle walls, ice houses, karavansi (pilgrm resting stops ) and pigeon house.
Prettty good tour oth guide and driver were very friendly.

Went back to the hotel to see if i could take the night bus to Isfahan. Unfortunately, fully booked. Next 2 days is the anniversary of the Imam and so public holidays...Think its going to be crowded in Isfahan with all the holiday makers. Nevertheless dont mind staying in this nice place for one more night. I even tried Camel Meat here. Nice.

..Managed to get the early morning bus to Isfahan at 7am.
