Day 1. We started the first day with a big shop for the important stuff, wine beer and a bit of soakage (food), oh and of course Helen's cowboy hat!! Then motored out of the marina and Chris got stuck into the sailing from the off. Hoisting the sails, taking the helm and tacking the boat to our first bay where he even swam the stern line ashore – it's great having a crew!! We all chilled and had a late lunch then in the afternoon Chris and Helen had a bit of a nap zzzzzzzzzzzz. After a few games in the water and a lot of chatting over dinner C & H sat on the bow and watched the stars. Sweeeeet.
Day 2. After a very slow relaxing day Kate baked scones during the Helen and Chris afternoon snooze time, then we motored over to wall bay and had a lovely dinner under the stars followed by scones and jam and yoghurt(a perfect cream replacement). Yum.....
Day 3. in the morning we motored over to Cleopatra's bay whilst it was calm and we swam around the ruins trying to avoid the scary looking Russian woman with twinkling gold
teeth!! Took loads of underwater photos in the clear blue water, and giggled a lot about the floating crocs! Sailed over to Ciglic bay and took a line to shore and then messed about in the water with the frisbee and had a game of Rummikub before dinner. Tried to watch a movie but the laptop didn't want to play!
Day 4. After a light breakfast we set off and had a wonderful sail to Fethiye and Yacht Classic pier. We had a lovely lunch at the MOD cafe in the marina and took an opportunity to catch up with emails. A lovely relaxing day at the Classic hotel and pool and we all dressed up for dinner. Far too much food, great company and then we all waddled rather bloated but happy back to the boat.
Day 5. We had seen how tricky it can be to slip out of the mooring at the Classic pier so whilst it was calm in the morning we swiftly moved from one side of the pier to the other giving us a better position to leave later in the day when the winds get up. This meant we could all
relax by the pool and enjoy the day. Also the start of Kate's sore throat – probably too much talking!! Sailed over to Gocek and moored off Yassica Island where Helen produced a lovely dinner which included the contents of the doggy bag of last nights excess meat. Fabulous!!
Day 6. We woke up to the day everyone dreams of – Kate decided to stop talking because her throat hurt so much. (Only kidding – and Kate wrote this not Andy.) So it was a pharmacy trip and a bag full of potions and then a lovely relax on the cushions in the Dice cafe overlooking the bay whilst the sun went down sipping on pina coladas. Last night on the boat for Helen and Chris and they treated us to a lovely Italian meal at the Blue.
We had a lovely fun week and we may have even given them the sailing bug – who knows!!
P.S. Kate's throat slowly recovered with antibiotics and she is now talking (and talking... and talking... )

A fantastic week - thank you
The photos say it all - sun, sea, cocktails, amazing friends. We arrived with a little trepidation, being committed land lubers, but Freedom, Andy & Kate made us so welcome & treated us to gentle sailing & lazy days. We loved it! Thank you for a fantastic week. xxx
