Stayed in the Estaghal hotel. Was over charged compared to what was written in the lonely planet. i guess its because the cab driver gets a comission for beinging me to the hotel. And the comission comes from me. Grrrrr..but the place was clean and nice so guess it was ok.

Booked a Persepolis Tour with Pars for just $8. At th office, i met a Singaporean lady ! Solo traveller also but she was been in Iran for 3 months! She is an English teacher whom i guess has fallen in love with Iran. Said she wants to learn Farsi and prob will come back pretty soon. Pleasant surprise to meet a singaporean here.
Had the afternoon to myself so i set about exploring the town. The city of Shiraz is much more peaceful than Tehran and Tabriz. The citadel walls dominate the city and i visited a few of the shrines, mosques and of course the bazaar with the help of a pretty shrewd guide. This fella approached me out of no where and offered to show me ard. He used to work as a tour agent. He was generally knowledgable but what I didn't like was that he was pretty calculative.
Later in the night, met this Dutch travellor and I think was some of his iranian friends. They were university students both male and female and we exchanged some pretty honest opinions about politics, work, studies, Iran and many other things. The females in Iran are generally always dressed in black from head to toe. It is compulsory to wear a hejab and the younger ones wear really nice coats... But i think their features and especially their eyes are just beautiful. Amongst the females there were law, pyschology and nursing students and they were pretty fun to talk to.

2nd day...Tour to Persepolis. Stunningly well preserved. All hundreds of carvings are unique depicting 28 nations who were under this king ...Darius . Maybe I should have read up a bit more...Nevertheless...it was ncie. There was this Iranian baby on the tour and she was really cute. Took a pic of her after asking permission from her mummy. Weather is hot though....gosh....Had to down quite a few mineral water bottles.

Had a prettty good lunch ...Kebab with rice...haha...Kebab again....at least there is rice this time.

Back to Pars Tour Agency cause all the internet cafes are closed so only here offers internet services today. (Thurs is half day , Friday is their rest day. Didn't really know this until yesterday.). And guess what...I met a Singaporean couple ! seems this Pars agency as a knack of attracting Singaporeans. Will be taking the night bus to Yazd in 2 hrs
