Brussels Trip

Phill, Katy, and I ventured to Brussels this past weekend because we had Thursday off for Ascension Day. We took a train, which took us about 5 hours or so. It wasn't bad at all actually. Brussels was fantastic. I loved it tons. The only bad thing was that it rained most of the time we were there, which to me is a reason to go back.
We saw Grote Markt, Mannekin Pis, St Michaels Cathedral and four other churches, and much more of the city. It really is a great place to go. We went to go tour the European Parliament, but it was closed on Friday as an extension of the holiday. I was really sad becaue I really wanted to see it, but that is another reason to go back. Brussels is definitely in the top of my list of the places I have gone to see. The only place left for me to go in Benelux is Luxembourg, we will have to see how that goes.

This is the garden that is in front of the palace. The garden you can enter and the palace you cannot.

Grote Markt
This is the city square in Brussels. It has often been called the prettiest city square in Europe.
