Hello my faithful readers, if you do in fact exist,
thank you for being so faithful, if you are in fact that.
I am in currently in the beautiful city of Prague - YAY!!
I arrived yesterday on the train, and fortunately my hostel was kind enough to not include the directions from the main station to their location. So i got off the main train, got lost for a while, walked around, and eventually got on the metro and figured out how to get to the place after asking many people for help. But one guy did send me through a beautiful garden and i quite enjoyed that, although i did get many strange stares as i trekked through the beautiful gardens with my massive backpack with a rather distressed look on my face. haha!
Nevertheless, i made it. I was a little nervous though about bumping into groups of pickpocketers as I was reading about Prague on the train and found out they hang out at the train stations in groups and have all sort of techniques to distract you and usually prey on lost or distressed backpackers so I was pretty much everything they ever wanted. Great haha! But no it was fine, no different to any other place. I guess if I survived the pickpocketers in Barcelona, I have survived the worst. And I was praying a lot on the train about it cause I kinda freaked myself out and for some reason was feeling like I wouldnt like Prague, the idea of it was scaring me a little.Anyway I got here and straight away met 2 lovely german girls and we decided to go out to have a walk through the city. Oh it was so pretty at night!!! So many cool lights displayed on the many beautiful buildings around and it was very nice to just walk through and get a feel for it. I just got the best vibe and was just loving it! When I went to Vienna, I enjoyed it but kinda felt like there was nothing special there about the city but coming to Prague it just feels so different and so special. There really is something about it! 😊
So yes after being int he mountains for a few days with my relatives they drove me into Salzburg and we went and had lunch and they were going to show me around before I had to get my train but unfortunately I was feeling so sick that day. I ended up sleeping in the car until it was time to go. But from what I saw of Salzburg I really liked it!! I can iimagine it and espeically the mountains being so lovely in the winter, keen to go back when there is snow! So yeah I was feeling so horrible and caught the train to Vienna that night. Hopped on the train and met a lovely girl from NZ who had actually been living in Melbourne for a few years and was planning to live in London. She had quite a similar trip to me and it was cool to chat to her about it all. Bu tthen as I was feeling so sick I decided to try and sleep, which i did - hooray! Got to Vienna and the hostel was very close to the station and basically went straight to sleep haha. The next morning I went out with a girl a met from the hostel, she was from Finland and so cool! Everything about her was interesting and we had heaps of fun walking around. At one point I decided i really wanted to eat some Schnitzel for lunch because its Vienna and the Viennese schnitzel is one of the foods they are famous for so we went on the hunt for some good (and by that I mean cheap) schnitzel. We looked everywhere and could not find any below 10 euros. So we almost gave up but then found some in the market place and oh my was it tasty!! The weird thing is also is that we struggled to find a coffee house, when in Vienna they are supposed to be everywhere. People kept telling me that there are streets and streets lined with coffee houses and we hardly saw any the whole time we were there!! Anyway, that night i went back to the hostel and was preparing to have any early night because I was still feeling sick but then into my hostel walks two AUSSIES! They were from Tassie and we had an awesome night just chatting and it was really cool to get to the know them, plus they were hilarious!! Then we decided to go the Saturday flea market the next morning so we did. We got up and enjoyed the all you can eat breakfast at the hostel and then walked to the flea market. The market was actually really cool, not the cheapest but if I had more time I would have looked more. But I did buy some jewellery! Then we walked back to the hostel, tried to look for coffee shops again so we could share one before I had to leave but couldnt find any that looked good! So by that time I had to get my train so had to farewell by aussie buddies! Then I caught the train to Prague and here I am.
Today the weather has been pretty rainy and grey but Ive actually really enjoyed it, as opposed to everyone else haha. Its been nice to snuggle up a bit and just stroll through the city when its not too hot and sweaty. When I left this morning I just leisurely strolled through the beautiful streets and for some reason really enjoyed the grey skies. I guess it meant the streets were less busy too! I love it when they arent too many tourists haha. I was walking over one of the bridges and just feeling so happy and also so sad at the same time, reallllllly missing my family! I guess I was just having a very emotional day. But then this group of people in the middle of the bridge started singing and then dancing to this other group of peoples music and everyone was so happy and it just made me want to cry, got a little bit teary - who knows! Im kind of a mess today haha. So I kept walking and really was walking slowly and really taking everything in and enjoying it - a car even beeped at me because i was crossing the road so slowly, thats how relaxed I was! Then I continued walking into the main city centre and unfortunately the rain started again so after a while had to head back to the hostel to get some shelter. On the way I picked up one of these bread things which are one of their traditional foods and it was so tasty, was not expecting it to be that good! Then came back to the hostel for a bit and then set out to go see the Prague castle and a beautiful church which is up from my hostel. Now im just going to chill out tonight and hopefully keep out of the rain 😊 but i will enjoy listening to it! One of the german girls just went an got a tattoo so im going to go check it out. Not such a long update this time but in conclusion, Prague is amazing. Hopefully the rain stops so tomorrow I can walk around a bit more. Then tomorrow night I have a night train to Amsterdam! Woo!
Oh and I will leave you with this, as this is something the Lord reminded me of today.
God is good ALWAYS. Not just when things are good for us, or circumstances are great or things go our way but he is ALWAYS good. So we should praise and thank him ALWAYS! We should really get into a habbit of praising him always so that when bad things happen or things dont go our way we will still praise him because he is a truly GOOD God no matter what. I mean its easy to thank him when we are happy with the way things are but how will you respond to God when something goes wrong? He calls us to praise him throughout it all.

1 Chronicles 16:34
Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever.
