So far: 799 miles in 13 days, at an average of 61 miles per day. And more than 14,000 metres of climbing - just on the bike - that's approaching twice up Everest.
According to the Daily Mail it is set to be the wettest May on record. I can vouch for that. It has rained every day sometimes all day. At times it has been soul-destroying and incredibly frustrating. Now done 19 hills - adding Gloucestershire (Cleeve Hill) and Worcestershire (Worcestershire Beacon) to the list on Friday and Saturday. Weather on Cleeve Hill was awful. I've walked all over the hill in the past two years but still managed to get lost. Thick fog, blowing a gale and torrential rain. Everything I'm carrying, which isn't much, was soaking wet. On to Worcestershire Beacon in the Malverns which was also capped in fog. Shropshire tomorrow then some proper mountains in Wales.

Thanks for all the positive comments. There are some pictures in the gallery as well.

Loving the photos
I've been up Leith Hill on mountain bike. I lost grip on the back wheel and topple gently sideways in front of a granny.

This is quite an undertaking! You've been very unlucky with the weather so far, hope it clears up as you head for the Welsh mountains. Keep it up. Cheers, Simon (author of http://www.hill-bagging.co.uk)
