Friday - we walked miles in the heat to find a gallery suposedly displaying the work of local artists - only to find it was not fully set up, had very limited work on display and wasn't really that interesting! Ah, well, we tried. The art has been very disappointing in Borneo to the point of almost being non-existant. However, we walked back a different way and came across a shop selling clocks with arabic numbers on - and we got the deal we wanted! So I'm happy, just have to lug a wall clock around for a while now...............!

We ate at the Hong Kong Noodle House again as it's been great food, and naturally finished with a cold Tiger at the local eatery!

Saturday - a lazy morning really then after checking out of the Lime Tree we were taken to the airport. The flight to KL was on schedule, we arrived at 4.10 pm though by the time we'd got the bus into central KL and walked to the hotel it was gone 6. The hotel, Chinatown Inn, was really easy to find, one LRT stop from Sentral and a few mins walk along Jalan Petaling, site of a very big market. In fact the hotel overlooks the bustling market.

The room was nothing special, in fact we paid extra for a window as in Malaysia many rooms don't have them - but look at the photo, what was the point of this window!!!!???? You have to laugh!

We headed straight out to Times Square via LRT and monorail, very cheap, very easy. We had good food at the Asian food court in Times Square, Thai for Mac and Japanese for me.
We headed back and finished the evening with a cold Anchor beer and a jaunt around the market - better than most markets we've seen so far.

Sunday (today) - had bowsers for breakfast at a local place then wandered around the central market - beautiful crafts, great clothing, but didn't buy anything - the only thing that caught our eye was a batik picture but the assistant didn't want to do a deal - well, not one that suited us anyway!

So now we've just checked out of the hotel and are about to head back to the airport for our flight back to Hong Kong. More from there later!

Hi Chris
Peninsular Malaysia is a fabulous country to visit ,I'd choose that over Malaysian Borneo now that we've done both. We should have spent longer in Kuala Lumpur. Drop us an email if you need any info, would also recommend Thailand or Laos too. Hope you're OK in Oz! C
