We decided to spend a few nights in a quiet beach resort called Mui Ne before going to the busier resort of Nha Trang where all the night life is! Mui Ne was literally beautiful! It was so quiet it was unbelievable. This did bother me a little bit when it came to night life however when it came to the beach it was heaven! Like our own personal island! The first night we stayed at this cheap hostel as we arrived really late and it was just easy(and cheap)! However, we decided to splash out a little bit the next day by staying in one of the hostels actually on the beach! It was a whole $10 each (i know outrageous!!!lol). It was worth every penny! We stayed in these bungalow rooms in the grounds, with a pool right outside and a path leading right to there own private beach! Stunning!!! It was bliss just laying on the white sandy beach, watching people do water sports. Mui Ne is known for its 'Kite surfing' which is basically surfing attached to a huge parachute! Its so cool! The kite pulls the person along and they do tricks in the air like flips! Seeing twenty or so kite surfers at once on the sea is amazing and so beautiful with all the different coloured kites floating together on the turquoise sea! I loved it!

That night we had dinner at our hostel on the beach but then a storm hit and the power went out! It was actually quite funny as Sean was on the toilet at the time so i can only imagine how sacry that must have been!haha! It came back on after a while but the rain persisted! We ended up running into this beautiful bar that wouldn't been out of place in Green Park! All marble and leather! We arrived looking like drowned cats, dripping all over their marble floors! The looks we got were pretty hilarious but it was low season so i think they wanted our custom more than they needed dry floors! The garden in the bar is amazing, it had this long pool made of slate surrounded by white sunloungers and tents that wouldn't have been out of place in the middle of a desert! We asked politely if we could sit in one and they eventually agreed even though they definately hated us as it meant they had to come outside in the monsoon to serve us drinks!lol! This bar did the best smoothies of my life! Iv never had such a good drink! I think they might have sent us a little mad though as myself and Emily thought it would be a good idea to take a dip in their pool in the rain! We proceeded to act about 15 years below our age and have 'Sea Horse' races across the pool (i won!lol) and then pretend that we were mermaids! I dont know why!!!It just felt right! We then went on a hunt for 'Phosphorescents" (if thats how you spell it!) which we were told were organisms in the sea that light up when you touch them!

And we actually found some (they were shining blue!). This probably wasn't the best time to be looking for them as a storm was happening and the waves of the sea in the night nearly drowned us a few times! But we survived to tell the tale and that's all that matters! It was such a good night! We topped it of by convincing a restaurant to make us banana pancakes before bed! They were awesome!!!

The next day we went to the sand dunes! They have red and white sand dunes in Mui Ne which you can body board down! We didn't have a lot of time so we just went to the white ones as they were meant to be the best! They were literally stunning! It was like being in the sahara desert! We decided to hire quad bikes to ride across them!I had the time of my life, it was the most exhilarating thing i have ever done and also maybe the most scary! These 10 year old boys drove them for us with two of us on the back! They then proceeded to drive across the dune at intense speed twisting and turning as they went! I have never screamed so much in my life! I literally had blisters all over my hands after from gripping so tightly, at one point i though we were going to dive as he went full throttle over the top of one of the sand mountains! Brilliant! So much fun, the minute i got off i just wanted to go again! I ached so badly in my arms and legs afterwards from tensing to stop myself from falling off!!!hahaha!!!!AMAZING!!!!!

Hi Cristina, yeah we stayed at a hostel called the WindChamp resort! Its a bit more money $10 a night each for a 3 bed room but worth it as it is right on the beach and has its own pool! They have these bungalows that are air-con and u walk out into a garden area with the pool and then straight onto the beach!it was really beautiful and u dont get hassled as its a private beach with just hostel guests and kite-surfers!probably one of the nicest beaches iv seen in Vietnam! There are tons of restaurants as well along that strip as the cheaper accomodation tends 2 be much further down the long strip away from the nightlife! Although nightlife might be pushing it as its low season now so there are very few people staying there! You have 2 go to the sand dunes as well, we just went to the white ones as we were pushed for time but the red ones are beautiful 2! Although on the white ones u can go quad biking and ride an ostrich!lol! The hotel does a tour to both for like $5!Mui Ne is good for like a couple of days but Nha Trang is much livelier and so much fun! Its 4 hours away by bus!Id recommend getting an open ticket from Ho Chi Mihn City to Mui Ne, Nha Trang, Hoi An and Hanoi as its much cheaper than singles!hope this helps!xxx

Also if u want really cheap accomodation u can stay on the opposite side of the road from Windchamp resort as we stayed in one of those hostels for one night for $4 a night each in a 3 bed room! They arent as nice and u may have 2 pay for a drink or something 2 use the beach whereas at Windchamp they have their own beach so its free 2 use!xx
