my beloved vehicle Servus!
So what to start with? Alright, Toronto... the weather was not my friend last weekend and so I haven't had the chance the visit some nice sights of Toronto like the CN tower or the island. I only stayed there for 2 nights anyway and I had a good time with Jasmin, my franco-allemande host there, his cat Romeo and some of her French friends. Merci à tous!
Last Monday I then made my way from the east to the west crossing the country, which meant 3 days and 3 nights in the bus!*wohoo* Luckily there were not too many people and little Kat could spread out on two seats to get at least some sleep. I had a one day stop over in the national park Jasper, where I got a first taste of the planned camping trip with Cecile, Marine and Isa. The girls also went on a trip to Brithish Columbia and will pick me up on their way to Jasper to spend a week of hiking and camping in the Rocky Mountains of the nationalparks Jasper and Banff. Can't wait!
But first another really exciting thing: woofing!
Don't worry... I didn't know

he is sooo cute and can make soo much noise what that is until two weeks ago either. So basically WWOF stands for world wide organic farmers as far as I understood and this is where the term is derived from. When you are a 'woofer', you help out on ranches or vegetable farms somewhere in Canada and you can stay and eat their for free. This concept is just perfect! I was lucky to be accepted on an amazing ranch in Valemount, BC (1 hour from Jasper) at the edge of Mount Robson of the Rocky Mountains. It's a very nice family with huge premises, a wooden family house, a yellow John Deere tractor (I love to drive that one by the way). What attracted me most were of course the animals: 5 dogs, 3 cats, 4 donkeys and 5 horses! Oh yeah! And not to forget the two kids of 10 and 14... haha
So what kind of work I'm doing? Feeding the donkeys and horses, scooping, fixing the fencies or help out in the house like cooking or cleaning. The funniest thing was that I am not the only woofer and I knew already that there would be a German woofer as well for some days.
Nothing special I thought as the Germans are whereeva you go! What I didn't know yet was that he is from Landshut - yes, the Bavarian town I studied in. Small world... So we decided to cook some 'Schweiners mid Knel und Kraut' (roasted pork with bread dumplings and sauerkraut) yesterday to get our Canadian hosts a taste of Bavaria!😉
We already went on a short bike trip around the mash with an amazing landscape and view. And Dan, the boss of the family, let me shoot my first real gun out on the fields. And it didn't even go that bad apparently! But you better have a look yourself and see what I'm talking about... and there will be some more fun days to come it seems!
A la prochaine!

I hope you can take that vehicle with you. We need it at our building site...
