I arrived in the Netherlands from Brussels on Wednesday the 18th and have been here since. I was fortunate enough to be able to stay with one of my best friends from high school, Perry, who lives in a city outside of Utrecht, on Wednesday and Thursday night.

Wednesday evening we walked around the city of Utrecht, where he goes to school, with some of his friends. He had to work all day Thursday, so during the day I took a train to Amsterdam to do some site seeing. The setup of the city is pretty neat; it has canals going all around the city similar to Venice. That morning I toured the house that Anne Frank spent her years in hiding, and later in the afternoon I went to the Heineken Experience. The Heineken Experience was a fantastic tour. The place where they actually brew the beer has moved away from Amsterdam, but they have a really interactive tour in the factory where the brewery used to be. Perry had to work all day Friday and Saturday morning as well, so I met up with the crew that I was with in Belgium to do more site seeing in Amsterdam and then go out in the city that night. This morning (Saturday) we went to a nice beach in Zandvoort. The water was freezing cold but the beach was nice.

Tomorrow I'll be going to Berlin!
