how to get to Mt. Tarak

Mt. Tarak, 2nd highest peak in bataan, located at barangay alas-asin Mariveles Bataan, Bataan a well known place in philippines because of its historical sites and its beautiful beaches but my blog focuses on the tarak ridge, the tarak ridge is not hard to find and its easy to get there. when you travel from manila you need to take a bus to balanga bataan, the fare is 200 pesos less and the trip could be 2hrs to 2 and a half hours depending on the bus driver hehe,,the bus will drop you to balanga terminal, the terminal there has the bus going to mariveles bataan the fare for that ranges to 40-50 pesos tell to the conductor that you are going to mt. tarac and they will drop you on the foot of the mountain.



when you get there register your team to the barangay, just ask the people around there where is the barangay and they will politely tell you where is the barangay. after you registered your team that is the time to roll hahahaha!! the hike will take you 6 hrs to 7 hrs. my team hiked for about 5-6 hrs many teams were lost because of their team leader haha., luckily we have researched well so we did not get lost haha., the first 3 hrs. will lead you to the papaya river the papaya lake is the resting place of the hikers. the lake has clear water that you can even drink it. after a rest you have to hike again and it is much harder than the first 3 hrs. when youve reached the top YEHEY!! you can camp inside the forest or in the open haha., the are there is so strong at night you need to bring rope for the support of your tent.


our experience there was awesome it is so breath taking and you will appreciate the nature like never before

we have conquered tarak ridge and my team is proud of it
