Yesterday was a GREAT day. It was sunny and when I went out for my afternoon walk, I decided to walk through a public park close to the hotel (that I need to start calling "home" for at least one more month).

The park was full of musicians!! KATI I KNOW YOU WOULD HAVE LOVED THAT!! Most of the people were old (maybe 70-85 years old) and half of them were playing chinese instruments in groups, others were singing, others were dancing and the other half was just looking or excercising in the "public gymnasium" the government built in most public parks (I have to say this is a neat idea, you can just put on your sweat pants and use everything, FREE).

The musicians were just magical. The music was SO sad but great. I also noticed how many old people this city has... I think is because of the one child policy the government re-inforced for so many years.

People here live in the streets... Pretty much like Paris, you see people walking (and shopping, and eating) all the time, day and night.

Eventhough the afternoon was great, of course I could not miss my

This is not my picture but what I saw looked exactly like this...
daily share of "cultural shock" and this time, came at around 7pm.

I was walking in direction to the swimming pool of the hotel and in front of me a chinese guy, very well dressed, was walking apparently in the same direccion. Anyways, we get to the pool and the guy walks toward the edge of the pool and SPITS IN THE POOL!

You can imagine my surprise! He spits and leaves like nothing happened here. I decided it was not a good day for swimming.
