Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Today is Saturday in Tanzania! This morning's personal evangelism class wrapped up a week of wonderful opportunities. Allow me to share with you briefly, news of the Bible classes that have been conducted and are continuing. We were able to begin a class with Miriam. She is an active member of the "Full Gospel" religious group here. She is busy a couple days of the week with their choir practice, another day she goes to prayer meeting, and Sundays she attends morning worship from 8:30 until about 12:30, then later in the afternoon she attends another service. This busy schedule certainly indicates her commitment to her present beliefs. I just wonder how many Christians would be willing to allot that much time to spiritual activities?! It seems that many saints "find" time for soccer practice, band rehearsal, gym workouts, video gaming, on-line "Facebooking" (how many hours do you spend at this each day?), golf, etc., etc. Let's be willing to make time to hand someone a good tract, or write a letter to a co-worker telling them briefly of our belief in Christ, etc., etc. Well Miriam has a long way to go since she has so many conflicting doctrines in her mind. But we had a good beginning this week. Just think of the good she might do if she is willing to embrace pure New Testament Christianity.

We also had classes on Wednesday and Saturday with Rebeca, Irene, and Sheila. These three young ladies are all very intent during each study. Each class I write down each verse in Swahili. After class that one sheet is taken by each student, and they make their own copy by hand. Not only does this indicate their interest, but they have the opportunity while making their own personal copy, to review what was covered in the lesson. The previous classes carefully detailed the difference between the Law of Moses and the Law of Christ. Also they learned the eternal nature of the WORD and of His incarnation. Another lesson allowed Scriptures to reveal the difference between the Lord's body and denominations. Before the beginning of today's class, I asked a series of questions. Are you a Christian? How were you saved? Were you saved before or after baptism? Each student wrote their brief response to questions such as these. We proceeded to read verse by verse showing how those in the first century became children of God. Toward the end of the class session, one student took her pen and was getting the paper upon which she had earlier written her answers. She was wanting to correct her paper! She realized on her own as she learned that her answers differed from what the Bible teaches. I told her, please just leave that for now. "If you write a different answer, it will not change what you personally did in the past!" You see, if we don't help establish what a student has done before such a lesson, most often I find they will transpose what they have learned back on their own situation. Most commonly, folks are taught to be saved and then some time later (when a group is ready) they are baptized. However, one who has followed such a teaching, upon learning the true biblical reason for baptism will say - That was the same reason I was baptized!

These ladies need some time to process what they have been exposed to. They will make their own copy of the scriptures, and were asked to compare the scriptures with the responses they wrote down about themselves. Please pray that the power of the word will convict their hearts and that they will respond in obedience. It is such a blessing to have both Jacob and Lindsey assisting in these classes. Lindsey can sometimes take care of Rebeca's child Sarah so she can focus without distraction upon the lesson. There is nothing quite like bringing someone to a knowledge of the truth!

This is one reason I love the Jensen's so much-you take the time to let the word take it's time to work on the heart. One thing about being a seed spreader is you never know just when the word is going to take off and do it's work but one thing we can know the Lord knows how to save souls and His word is the way he chose for us to save them. I miss you Jensen's but I am so thankful to be on this blog list at least it puts me in the general vicinity of your minds and hearts which is a wonderful place even if we aren't face to face. One day in Heaven we will be once again. just ken

Great News
George and family, This is so good to hear. The simple message being delivered in a simple manner. This is what is needed in countries all over the world. Keep on keeping it simple. Anthony & Shasta

Heard that one before
I can't say how many times I have heard, "saved and then baptized after" and yet somehow, "baptized for the remission of sins," but I know it's been many. I only had to make the mistake of not getting someone to write down what they did to be saved prior to the study once to see what the Devil's deceit causes us to do. Keep up the good work. Always very encouraging!

Hi George. I enjoyed your report. You and family are doing a very good work. I am encountering some of the same mind sets as you on line with WBS. I hope to make better and better aguments as I contend for the one true faith of Christ. Give my love to all. Karl
